1. Acceptance of Terms

WoodWater Bolt provides general construction, renovation, remodeling, custom carpentry, and related services (“Services”) for residential and commercial clients.

 

All services are provided pursuant to a written estimate, proposal, or contract, which shall control in the event of any conflict with these Terms.

3. Estimates & Pricing
  • All estimates are non-binding until accepted in writing.

  • Pricing is based on the defined scope of work only.

  • Estimates may change if conditions differ from those reasonably observed at the time of inspection.

  • Verbal estimates are not binding.

WoodWater Bolt reserves the right to revise pricing due to material cost changes, labor conditions, or unforeseen site conditions.

4. Deposits & Payments
  • A non-refundable deposit (typically 30–50%) is required prior to scheduling work.

  • Progress payments may be required for multi-day or phased projects.

  • Final payment is due upon substantial completion, prior to punch-list or final walkthrough unless otherwise stated in writing.

Failure to make timely payments may result in work stoppage, additional fees, or collection actions.

5. Change Orders

Any work outside the agreed scope requires a written change order.

 

  • Change orders must be approved before additional work begins.

  • Additional work performed without written authorization is not guaranteed.

  • Verbal approvals are insufficient.

6. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

 

  • Provide reasonable site access during scheduled hours

  • Remove or protect personal belongings

  • Ensure utilities (water, power, access) are available

  • Disclose known site conditions, hazards, or restrictions

 

 

Delays caused by client actions may result in schedule or cost adjustments.

7. Scheduling & Delays

Project timelines are estimates only.

 

WoodWater Bolt is not responsible for delays caused by:

 

  • Weather

  • Material shortages

  • Permits or inspections

  • Third-party vendors

  • Client changes or access issues

8. Permits & Code Compliance

Where required and specified in writing, WoodWater Bolt may assist with permit coordination. Ultimate responsibility for permit approval and inspection rests with the governing authority.

WoodWater Bolt performs work in accordance with generally accepted construction standards, not perfection-level cosmetic expectations.

9. Warranties

Unless otherwise stated in writing:

 

  • Workmanship is warranted for one (1) year

  • Manufacturer warranties apply to materials and fixtures

 

 

Warranty does not cover:

 

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Client-supplied materials

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or third parties

10. Site Conditions & Unforeseen Issues

Construction may expose hidden or unforeseen conditions, including but not limited to:

 

  • Structural deficiencies

  • Water damage

  • Mold

  • Electrical or plumbing issues

 

 

Such conditions are not included in the original scope and may require additional work and cost.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

 

  • WoodWater Bolt’s liability is limited to the amount paid for services rendered.

  • WoodWater Bolt is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

12. Insurance & Licensing

WoodWater Bolt maintains appropriate licensing and insurance as required by law. Proof may be provided upon request.

13. Intellectual Property

All website content, logos, designs, images, and text are the property of WoodWater Bolt and may not be copied or reused without written permission.

14. Termination

WoodWater Bolt reserves the right to terminate services for:

 

  • Non-payment

  • Unsafe conditions

  • Harassment or abusive behavior

  • Breach of agreement

 

 

Client remains responsible for payment for work completed to date.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, and venue shall lie within Washington, DC.
